REGISTERING

Is there a fee for registration?

    There is no fee and the MWC Kigali 2023 event is free to attend.

    Invited attendees, VIPs & Press should register using the code provided to ensure that your pass is activated with the right levels of access to programmes and areas.


    Can I register onsite?

    There are no registration desks onsite at the event. You need to register via this link. Access to the event is by a digital badge which is available via your registration account and needs to be displayed on your phone before entry to the event. You should ensure you can access your digital badge before arriving at the event, to ensure swift entry to the event venue. If you would like a physical networking badge, registered attendees can collect these at the times and dates detailed in the table below. Alternatively, you can print your badge at home and collect a lanyard upon entry to the venue. We are expecting to welcome a large number of delegates ahead of Keynote 1 on Tuesday, 17 October 2023 so please expect queues on the day.


    Can I register for more than one person?

    You can only register in full for your own pass. All attendees MUST register/log into their account and provide the mandatory personal information required. Attendees will be refused entry to the event if this information has not been provided, and verified before they arrive at the venue.


    ID COLLECTION & PHOTO UPLOAD

    Why are you collecting attendee ID and passport photo?

    To comply with local security requirements, you will be requested, during the registration process, to provide the following information (i) Document Type, (ii) Passport/Republic of Rwanda National ID Number, (iii) first and last name on your government issued ID document, and (iv) upload a passport photo.

    What forms of ID can I use to register?

    Only valid passports or national ID cards will be accepted to complete your registration to attend the event.

    How can you ensure the security of my personal data?

    The GSMA has commissioned a third-party penetration test and systems audit to ensure the security of personal information.

    To whom is my ID data and photo disclosed?

    Your personal data will only be disclosed to the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Rwanda strictly for the limited purpose of ensuring security at the event.

    For how long is my ID data and photo stored?

    All passport and / or national ID data and photos will be deleted from our registration system, seven days after the last day of the event.

    Do I need to bring the same document I used during registration?

    Yes, you will be required to bring the same document used for registration, before entering the event venue. Security checks will be performed at the venue before entry to the venue is granted.


    ACCESSING THE EVENT

    A physical badge will be required to access the venue. We strongly advise you to collect your badge on either Sunday, 15 October or Monday, 16 October between 9:00 – 18:00 to avoid queues.

    To collect your event badge, you will need to present:

    1. Your digital access pass or registration email
    To collect your event badge, you are strongly advise to display your digital access pass available in your registration account or a copy of your registration email. You should ensure you can access your digital access pass before arriving at the event, to ensure swift entry to the event venue

    2. Photo ID

    Verification may be performed on arrival at the venue. Please ensure that you have your Passport / government issued photo ID (which MUST be the same document provided during registration), when you arrive onsite at the event venue.

    ID Verification may be performed on entry to the venue; as such please ensure that you carry your Passport / government issued photo ID at all times when attending the event.

    EXHIBITORS

    Exhibitors can access the Online Exhibitor Manual (OEM) through this link.

    We encourage those who are overseeing exhibition stand space, to set up in advance of the event and arrive at the venue ahead of the attendees. Access times for exhibitors are as follows:

    VISA AND TRAVEL

    Do I require a visa to enter Rwanda?

    Citizens of countries who are members of the following international organizations; African Union, Commonwealth and La Francophonie can gain a visa upon arrival and are waived visa fees for a visit of 30 days.

    Citizens of East African Community Member States shall be issued a pass/entry visa free of charge upon arrival to stay for the period of six months.

    Citizens of the following countries can be granted a 90-day visa free of charge upon arrival: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore and the state Qatar.

    Citizens of all countries that are not visa exempt also have the option to submit an application online or at the Rwanda Diplomatic Missions of the country of residence before departure. Those applying online have the option to pay online or upon arrival. There is no single affiliated Agent that is authorised to apply for visa on your behalf. Such Agents may mislead you and charges more than the required visa fees.
